Die (kumulative) Viktimisierung von Opfern struktureller Gewalt am Beispiel von Probanden der westlichen Pharmaunternehmen in Indien

Abstract

Using subjects from clinical trials conducted by the Western pharmaceutical industry in India, the interaction between structural violence (according to Johan Galtung) and victimology will be examined. With the help of this theoretical framework, the different concepts will be connected through two case studies (HPV vaccination of girls in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, and treatment of victims of Bhopal gas disaster), thus their significance for victims of white-collar crime can be highlighted. Cumulative victimization was identified and explained in detail.
